Ramada, PC Legacy

Built on an area of 13 kanals, stacking a total of 15 floors, this high-rise soars high in the heart of Bahria Town, Phase 8. Housing both 5-star Ramada and 3-star PC Legacy, this complex is nothing less of an extravagant vertical city.

The outside of this tower is laced entirely with glass; however, it makes use of aluminum louvers and fins which act as the perfect shading devices. The fluid form of the building is reminiscent of flowing water and helps take away from the solidness of an otherwise one-dimensional extrusion of this nature. The horizontal aluminum accents that wrap the building within them bring about a certain movement to the form which is further tied together with the complimentary vertical louvers which vary in size throughout the building. The two towers that can be seen at first glance house both hotels out of which the bigger one is designated to Ramada whereas the smaller one caters to PC Legacy.

The ground floor up until the second floor along with the multiple basements are common to the two hotels whereas the rest of the floors are divided amongst the neighboring hotels. The ground floor contains an atrium which opens out to retail shops, offices and administration areas. The lower ground houses more retail shops as well as ball rooms for events whereas the first floor is also dedicated to shops and offices. The second floor connects the two towers with a bridge which sits perfectly over the atrium-skylight of the first floor. This floor includes a health and fitness center, a swimming pool, a roof garden and relating dining areas. Consequently, the third floor is dedicated to meeting rooms, conference areas and board rooms; this is also where the two towers become completely separate from each other. The fourth floor is designated to service facilities and contains all required allied facilities. All floors stretching from the 4th to the 11th floor harbor standard rooms with a bay size of 30 square meters, with separate access and circulation for both hotels.

This towering, curvilinear form is one of its kind as it not only sits well in the context it exists in but also because it exuberates energy efficiency and longevity which is apparent in both the exterior and interior details of the building.
