Nistar Hall

N ishtar Hall is a state-of-the-art facility situated in Peshawar. Though the existing auditorium worked well in its time, a modern uplift was long overdue and while doing so, we kept the local context and materials closely in mind.

The design implemented warm tones through the use of complimentary materials such as different hues of wood on the floor, walls and ceiling. The cream fabric on the sides of the auditorium not only serves aesthetic purposes but also acts as a buffer for acoustic purposes and ensures exceptional sound quality. It can also be noted that the reclining seats are lined with varying colors of fabric throughout the hall which helps create a more dynamic space. The use of patterned mashribiya screens against the Gothic arches gives the space a traditional experience as per the client’s requirement and successfully adds more personality to the space.
