Concepts Store
Built over an area of 7500 square feet, this is no regular grocery store. Designing a store with amenities ranging from groceries to cosmetics to pharmaceuticals while also including a bakery and a coffee shop was no easy task.
For the exterior elevation, we went forward with the bright purple in the Concept Stores’ logo and paired it with a muted grey while also including hints of orange to add more interest to the façade. The idea behind the interior of the store was for the choice of materials to be as muted as possible, in order to bring attention to the items for sale, keeping in mind each item’s unique packaging and branding. Beige marble tiles were chosen for the floor while the ceiling included a black waffle slab with wooden panels to provide appropriate height to the linear lights used in the aisles. The purple and orange in the branding of the store was subtly included in the signage placed in between aisles. The coffee shop and bakery adopted a different color palette which included metallic and wooden accents from the rest of the spaces, while also incorporating tones of turquoise in the corrugated sheets and the geometric hexagonal patterns behind and on the cash counters.
From the outside, the store resembles the packaging of an item sold at a grocery store which fits perfectly with the building’s function and acts as a magnet to attract customers
